We're proud to have shown thousands of people around our homeland over many years of creating New Zealand tour experiences for visitors from around the world.
The overnight trip in Doubtful Sound was beyond words. I had the best night's sleep of my life and was able to take in the beauty of this wilderness.
There were many excellent experiences including:
- Hole in the Rock
- Rotorua Gondola and Luge
- Doubtful Sound overnight
- Transalpine train
We had a good tour group that was punctual.
Hotels were comfortable.
Our Coach Captain kept us informed.
Our agent Louise has been superb working with us on four tours now. Great at organizing and excellent communication.
Loved Hobbiton, loved helicopter over the glaciers, loved TSSEarnslaw dinner cruise!! Loved it all😊
Mt. Cook, Doubtful Sound, Te Anau and Wanaka were just wonderful places to visit and the accommodation and meals/breakfast etc were excellent at each venue. Mt Cook Hermitage was best of the best - view from our room was superb and the meals each night were top notch.
Just such a great travelling experience - the weather was very kind to us as well which allowed us to do a lot more outdoor activities without fear of being drenched. Would not think of using any other travel company but yours for our next adventure to NZ.
Our favourite part of the trip was a few historic towns that come to mind, e.g., Arrowtown, Dunedin, and Christchurch. The heritage buildings and the picturesque scenery around.
A tour to the Skippers Canyon was an unforgettable experience.
Also, the Mt Cook National Park and the Milford Sound cruise - both spectacular.
In regard to hotels, all were comfortable, but the Scenic Hotel Franz Josef, surrounded by cold climate tropical forest, was my favourite.
Also, the Distinction Christchurch Hotel has a good location, a beautiful interior, and delicious food.
Thank you for your hospitality.
To the tour guides - Lyanne and Malcolm - thank you for your efforts, care and guidance.
You really went 'above and beyond' to make our experience a memorable one.
We enjoyed all of our holiday, especially the Coastal Train, which was very scenic, and the onboard staff were lovely. Our Tour Director Toni McDaid was great! She was professional, organised even through severe weather in Wellington, and just a happy, jovial Tour Director. Toni, along with our fellow travellers, made our trip special. The hotels, food, and wine were great also. Our second amazing holiday to beautiful New Zealand.
Mount Cook was the highlight, due to its natural beauty and the perfect views from a fairly new hotel room window and the fortune of perfect weather for viewing the mountain in the afternoon and morning light. All other attractions and hotel stays were worthwhile and good valued. Dave the bus driver was instrumental in creating a good group comaraderie. All beds were nice and allowed restful sleep.
Alfred was helpful at every stage and so were the in-country support team members.
“Alfred the Great” is a fair accolade for his efforts.
Our driver, Paul Campion, was fantastic. Very friendly and very safe driver. The commentary was informative. Regular comfort stops were a bonus. Really enjoyed our first tour bus holiday.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Eco Thermal Park tour which was as absolutely stunning. The guide is an environmental engineer and shared his knowledge of everything volcanic and geothermal to the plant and animal environment in the area.
Once again Chelsea thank you so much for putting together such a detailed and well thought out customised itinerary for me. You left nothing out so I was able to follow the itinerary without any problems. This was very beneficial for me, especially as I was travelling alone. I am very happy to recommend you to any of my family and friends or anyone wanting a 5 star rating travel advisor.
With the Hole In The Rock cruise, the cruise crew spotted some dolphins and stopped the boat. There were probably about 7 dolphins, including a baby one. They put on a show for everyone - synchronised jumping out of the water, and coming right up to the boat - which was absolutely amazing- a definite highlight for me.
Thank you Chelsea for putting together such a well planned out and professional customised itinerary for me.
Our highlights were the West Coast with the Fox Helicopter ride and the Haast Jetboat ride. The coach and Paul, the driver, were brilliant, and the best bed - Hermitage at Mt Cook and the view from those rooms.
For myself, my favourite experiences were everything we did in Rotorua - everything you recommended are a must-do - the Māori cultural experience and the eco thermal tours were fantastic. Delilah loved it all especially the ziplining - for me, that was a crazy mix of fear and exhilaration.
I loved Wellington, especially the Weta Studio tour (I’d kill to work there). Zealandia was pretty special as well.
All the hotels were great - I think I’d rate the Bolton the best.
And all your pick-up and tour drivers were fantastic, especially John Barry in Wellington, who gave us a tiki-tour of the area.
Shelby, thank you so much for all the excellent communication, effort, and patience you put into this trip for Delilah and myself, I truly appreciate everything you did. Thank you so much!
Everything went superbly! Attention to detail was evident at every stop. Megan was an outstanding driver and guide.
Small group trips are the best way to go!
Touring in the Ultimate coach was very comfortable, the hotels were excellent and the food was better than expected. Our driver was great and the highlight - if I had to pick one - was seeing Mount Cook in brilliant sunshine.
Everything was fantastic. It’s hard to say a favorite. Queenstown was glorious. The TSS Earnslaw dinner was excellent. The gondola is a must do. Mt. Cook Glacier Exploration and Stargazing were unforgettable as were the views of the mountains. Franz Josef Eco hike was fun and interesting even in the rain. All the drivers and guides from Cheeky Kiwi and independents were knowledgeable, friendly and punctual.
The hotels were excellent. Any questions we had during our trip were promptly answered by Russell Littleford. The itinerary created by Sabina Din was perfect. Thanks for a fabulous and memorable experience!
There was so much! We really loved the scenery, the design of the tours, and many of the tour guides. We felt really taken care of! For instance, when we arrived in the middle of station in Dunedin, there was a tour guide waiting for us! We got premium seating on the Intercity, which was great!
We really liked tour guides Renee and Joseph from Cheeky Kiwi and Andy and Chase from Altitude.
This was a great way to spend our brief time in New Zealand, so well organized! Thank you!
Everything was organized by Jess, we didn't have the trouble of researching and booking accommodation and activities ourselves. Our 4 trips with Cheeky Kiwi were really great. Knowledgeable drivers, and one trip there was just us 2 as other travellers had to cancel, the driver let us plan the whole day. All accommodation was very comfortable including beds and pillows.
The app worked very well, we referred to it constantly, to check pick up times and addresses, and admission to activities etc. We really loved our time in NZ and would recommend this company to anyone. We told lots of people we met about our booking process with Jess.
Distinction in Christchurch! Beautiful room, food. The weather not great on the tour but that is something not controlled.
Beautiful country and feel humbled to have been a part of such a wonderful journey!! Queenstown was amazing and the canyon ride was great!
The Castle to Cruise Tour and Penguin experience was absolutely incredible! Our driver and tour guide were excellent, as well as the boat captain! They spoke clearly and gave just the right amount of information. We were blessed with
seeing fur seals, sea lions, 2 different penguins, albatrosses flying, and many marine birds.
Thank you for working with us on planning this amazing trip! It was so nice to have everything organized and the App was extremely informative and helpful.
The tour guide and driver were excellent, and we always felt safe and well-informed. We loved the hotel at Picton and the town itself. The included experiences were excellent, especially the hangi in Rotorua and the farm experience at Queenstown.
