Maximilian Bosch and Nils Wiedau, Haka Tours 24 Day Epic NZ Tour, Travelled on 29th June 2018
We booked a HAKA Tour via New Zealand Coach Tours. Let's start in the beginning. We had a couple of questions in our minds concerning tour dates and of course the payment. Salli Smith was super helpful and every time when we contacted her she replied immediately and every time with a really professional but lovely answer. Just really cool. Then our trip started and it was just awesome. To see NZ with all it's variety and attractions was really stunning (and the weather was perfect). The whole process was really easy as well. So summing up - a really great and professional experience from our agents Salli and Emma, thanks so much for that and just an amazing tour. We'll definitely recommend this agency to our friends and colleges here in Germany and overseas. Thanks so much and hope to catch you soon. Cheers from Germany.
Leonard Leiwalo, Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga Experience, Travelled on 27th July 2018
Loved the tour that was put together for me. Great company that worked with the limited duration of my trip and ensured I saw all the areas of this beautiful country that I wanted to enjoy exploring. Anyone going to NZ this is the company I always refer people to. Great product, great service, and what a way to see New Zealand. Thanks again. I will be contacting you again in the future.
Catherine Ryan, Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga Deluxe 3 Day Tour 26 July 2018
My sincere thanks Suzanne for the itinerary you put together for my tour of Northland. The very comfortable coach journey had an informative and enjoyable commentary. I found the day trips were excellent and your arrangements for my pickups all went with ease. As a senior solo traveler I so appreciated that I was obviously listened to and therefore my holiday was really great. I will definitely be contacting you again for your services. My sincere thanks.
Murray & Lee Hamilton - Thrifty Tours 5 Day 'Southern Highlights' travelled on 22nd July 2018
Just passing on a big thank you to you and your team for putting together a lovely holiday. Both my wife Lee and I were VERY impressed with all the buses drivers and guides. The accommodation in both Queenstown and Franz Josef was both warm and comfortable with everything we needed. I was also very impressed with how well everyone stuck to timetables - buses arrived when they should've and departed the same. We have already been recommending your company to our family and friends. As Kiwis we felt very proud of the high level of service that was provided along the way. Once again thank you for support and recommendations.
Kanchan Vohora - Outstanding New Zealand Thrifty Tours adventure - travelled on 12th July 2018

It is a great experience to join Lord of The Rings tour though New Zealand Coach Tours. All the tour arrangements and hotel were perfect. We still had some free and easy time to explore the place by our own. Shelley, our agent, was very helpful and accommodating to all our requests, especially for the last minute additional tour that we requested. Overall, we had a great journey exploring New Zealand and it is really an awesome place to visit. Thanks for the great service, Shelley!

My experience with Nisse was wonderful and stress free, before booking my trip I was worried how will my trip go since I was travelling alone with my son 11 years old. When Nisse contacted me and we went through what exactly I needed I felt all my worries were handled by Nisse, she made sure my itinerary was tailored made accordingly to our needs, she took care of everything and gave us the best excursions, hotels and time to relax. The hotel was good and so close to all the trip which I had to take. I must say this holiday was very well arranged. Thank you Nisse, you are excellent in what you do and all my trips I will definitely want to go through you since you are the best.
Sheri, Grand Pacific 19 Day Rail & Coach Tour, Travelled on 31st January 2018

My family and I had planned for a trip to NZ to spend my dad's 70th Birthday and we were initially with another tour operator but they last minutely decided to cancel on us and in a frantic mode, I started googling NZ tours on my way to work one morning and that's how I came across New Zealand Coach Tours. I gave them a call, told them my situation and Christina, who was our tour agent, immediately planned and arranged an itinerary that suited our needs and flexibility, changing and tweaking itineraries to cater to our preferences. I am so impressed with her service that I'm here writing a feedback for them and recommending them if you are looking for a tour operator to help plan your trip to New Zealand. Every question that I had, she replied in detailed and promptly. Very helpful and was always there to help you and make the best out of your trip. I'm based in Australia and I remember ringing her one day but she immediately offered to ring me back so that I don't have to pay for international calling fee, so that's how thoughtful and great her service is. A small gesture like that makes a difference with your experience in dealing with tour agents! Very happy and satisfied with New Zealand Coach Tours and their services. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful tour - all the right tourist spots - great commentary and excellent meals.
Venus & Ching Kiu Chong & Wing Fong Wong, Glaciers Overnight, Travelled on 11th May 2018
The trip arranged by Brigett was really great and we enjoyed it so much! Although the weather when we arrived in Franz Josef Glacier was not good, we got a very decent hotel room and I spared a relaxing and warm time with my family! The service by Great Sights was really great and Peter was so informative and nice! Apart from that, all the tickets and room were well reserved by Brigett and I just needed to print out the documents and showed it to the driver or reception. All the transportation was arranged in a perfect way and it really saved us a lot in planning. Thank you so much Brigett and New Zealand Coach Tours!
Kalpana Chadda, Grand Pacific 19 Day Rail & Coach Tour, Travelled on 28th February 2018
We were lucky to book the trip through Erynn. She was very helpful and made it very easy for us to chalk out the whole trip. She even helped us with our itinerary after the trip. Our trip was great. Very well organized. We felt welcomed by the whole crew. Again thanks to Erynn for making this experience enjoyable and memorable.

We had a wonderful holiday as planned and booked by you Christina. All the arrangements went like clockwork, the bookings were all in place, the inclusions without any hassles and the pickup arranged were on schedule. The hotels were up to standard, the hotel and tour staff polite, efficient and friendly. We had a truly memorable holiday. Thank you for the excellent arrangements. The weather was also perfect which added to the experience.
Bret and Donna Cooper, Grand Pacific 19 Day New Zealand Showcase, Travelled on 9th April 2018
I would like to thank Natalie from NZ Fine Touring for organizing our recent NZ Holiday with Grand Pacific Tours. We had a fantastic time, beautiful scenery - very green, amazing locations & very friendly staff, especially the tour guide from Grand Pacific Tours who went above the call of duty to keep us all happy. All of our tours were great, especially Milford Sound and Queenstown, Skippers Canyon and the Shotover jet boat ride were well worth the money. Many thanks to all involved.
Helen & Steven Kraus, A Customised Southern Icons, Travelled on 6th April 2018
Thank you Christina for saving us in a dilemma. You booked such a fantastic tour for us in less than 3 hours and every single place you sent us was more wonderful than the place before. The drivers were so knowledgeable and polite. Our hotels were lovely except Cotswold was just adequate. It needs sprucing up a little but the activities you booked were great and the planning and time management for our short 11 day trip to NZ was seamless. We didn't waste any time "waiting" and our time usage was perfect. I am referring you to my friends and hope to come back to NZ again. Thanks for your quick response to our request.
Mr David & Mrs Valerie Jane Bardrick, AAT Kings 8 Day Northern Spotlight, Travelled on 21st April 2018

My wife and I completed the Grand Pacific 14 Day New Zealand Panorama tour and we would like to feedback that the tour was great. The local drivers with their local knowledge and humour were brilliant, keeping us on track to enjoy the 2 weeks and have a great time meeting the others on the tour. The additional offerings were well matched to what we like and the inclusions were largely suitable. Well done. Thanks.

Heather was very accommodating. She answered all my enquiries even if sometimes it was not related to the tour itself. As for the tour, we all enjoyed the itinerary she prepared. We were able to explore the different aspects of New Zealand comfortably. She gave us a very detailed itinerary so that I didn’t have to worry about anything during the trip.

Sharon Plavnick & Lynn Towns, Grand Pacific 19 Day Ultimate Rail & Coach Experience, Travelled on 6th March 2018
Hi Shelly. The trip was simply FABULOUS!! We loved every minute. Accommodations were all excellent; the planned excursions and activities were all enjoyable; the bus was EVERYTHING we hoped it would be; meals were all high quality. Our tour guide did an excellent job. Trip organization was seamless; from the moment we landed in Auckland and were picked up to be taken to the hotel, to the moment our driver in Christchurch not only took us to the airport, but grabbed both our suitcases and shepherded us to exactly the right counter inside the terminal, we were fully taken care of. This was an amazing trip, and I just wish you and Grand Pacific would open equivalent tours all over the world. Thank you so much for the role you played in making this all happen. You were our first contact, and you made such a good first impression. We are so glad we booked with you. Go ahead and publish whatever part of this you want. Sharon

I loved every minute of our tour | Penelope Erasmus, Jenny Bennie | Grand Pacific 14 Day New Zealand Panorama | Travelled on 2nd April 2018
From the first moment of stepping onto the bus I loved every minute of our tour. It was superbly organized and ran very smoothly. I especially liked some of the outings which were organized for us as well as the many options offered. We saw a marvelous variety of scenery, bush, towns and the very many sea inlets and outlets and the Trans-Alpine was fabulous with a sprinkling of snow to wish us on our way. Breakfasts and dinners were always welcome and we had a good selection to choose from and accommodation always sparkling clean. All in all I found this a wonderful way to get a good overall view of NZ and it has whetted my appetite for more! Thanks again. Penny Erasmus.

“100% Pure New Zealand” experience | Brenda Villena & Cristine Villena-Amurao & Guillermo Amurao | A Customised Southern Circuit | Travelled on 26th March 2018
Hi Christina, Just a short note to thank you for making our fantastic New Zealand holiday possible. We enjoyed every minute of our time in Middle Earth. Everything went smoothly.Read more
The airport and train transfers were on time. Elilzabeth who picked us up from Queenstown airport was especially helpful with Cristine’s misplaced luggage. She even drove us around Queenstown for orientation and pointed out interesting spots and shortcuts from the hotel to the town centre. We're so glad you chose it as our base as it is such a beautiful place. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The tours were very interesting and the guides were very knowledgeable, especially Andrew of Scenic Lord of the Rings Tour and Stuart of Great Sights from Christchurch to Queenstown via Mt Cook National Park. The places were awesome – Queenstown, Milford Sound, Glenorchy, Fox and Franz Josef Glacier, the West Coast, the Southern Alps, Arthurs Pass, Canterbury Plains, Mackenzie Country, Mt Cook National Park, Lindis Pass, etc. In fact, wherever we looked was picturesque! I have been telling my friends about my trip and recommending you and your company for their own “100% Pure New Zealand” experience. Best Regards, Brenda
Thanks for a great trip | Eric & Susan Dillon | 5 Day Southern Highlights Including Milford Sound | Travelled on 15th March 2018

We were fortunate enough to see a large pod of dolphins as we went out into the Tasman Sea and seals on the rocks with a baby Blue Penguin to boot! Coach drivers were excellent and accommodation was good. (Punga Lodge at Franz Joseph was the standout). We will be back next year to complete the top half of the South Island after lots of great memories.Sue was 'white knuckles' going into the Shotover but thoroughly enjoyed the jet boat and would now do it again! Kind regards and our thanks for a great trip. Eric & Sue
Was great to have everything organised | Norma Kay | Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga Deluxe | Travelled on 12th March 2018
The trip was well organised. Drivers were good, punctual and going up to Paihia, informative. The weather on day 1 was heavy rain but didn't stop us doing anything. The guide at the Treaty Grounds was full of information but delivered it very quickly and at the same time as we were trying to see the houses and read what was on the walls, so I couldn't take it in.Read more
Gathering the group together at the start and giving us info first and then letting us sander round would have been more helpful for me. The mini bus guide in Russell was excellent. Day 2 to cape Reinga and 90 mile beach was excellent. Good driver. I loved the Cape and found it a moving experience. Watching others sand boarding was fun. The Hole in the Rock cruise was excellent. And we were dropped off in Russell so gave me the chance to see it in the sunshine. The ride back to Auckland was good. My motel accommodation was adequate and clean. The proprietors were friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience. I did feel it was rather expensive (although I don't normally book organised tours so hard to compare). But it was great to have everything organised. Thank you.
Milford Sounds were by far the best recommended attractions | Lai Chaim and Jacqueline Delores Muhammad | Customised Queenstown, Milford Sound and Glacier Highlights | Travelled on 11th March 2018
We had a good time with the itinerary that Annelise has put together. Thank you! Our schedule was really packed and hectic. We saw, did and walked a lot. The Christchurch Double Decker Bus ride, Mount Cook, Queenstown, TSS Enslaw Steamship / Dinner at Walter's Peak and definitely Milford Sounds were by far the best recommended attractions in this itinerary.Read more
If we did not have to sit in the one of those Great Sights coaches on different days probably totaling approximately 2 - 3 days in this whole itinerary, we felt those hours could be better spent at sight-seeing at smaller attractions instead. The Greymouth Train back to Christchurch was scenic - but prepare for another long day of riding though. The accommodations were comfortable, but I have to say the one in Mount Cook chalet was unexpected as it was a fair walking distance from the main Hermitage hotel drop off. The chalet location was hard to find - there were no signs or lightning along the path and definitely was frustrating as we had to walk in the rain back to the main hotel to ask directions again. But having said that after all we've gone through finding the chalet; the positive outcome was the hotel manager who felt bad for us upgraded our existing chalet which was a blessing. In our opinion, the Rainforest Retreat at Franz Josef is by far the best accommodation of all - that's is only if you get the Deluxe Suite! That definitely made up for to the surprise when we were just dropped off at the foothills of the Franz Josef Glaciers and we had to hike 1 hour to the reach that glacier site when we thought we would be driven to actually see the glacier instead. More walking - so better bring your hiking boots if you have signed-up for this particular mini-tour. The breakfasts at the Ibis Christchurch and Mount Cook were excellent. They have a wide-spread and be sure to fill-up as you will need all the energy to last you through the day if you did not pack lunch or dinner. The coaches will stop along the way so you can pick-up something, but if you are conscious of your budget (and we have to say the food in NZ are expensive!), best option is to find a supermarket and stock-up snacks, fruits and definitely water! One last comment is the Nomad Safari tour - you will definitely get to see some the Lord of the Rings sites and you also get to practice your sword skills as you drink tea and have a cookie (that was packed and supplied with compliments from the tour agent's very own picnic basket) in the one of the forest....that was hilarious! Overall, it was an adventure considering this being our first visit to South NZ....perhaps we'll do North NZ the next time...with better walking shoes and hopefully less riding in coach buses :)
A great experience and thanks to all who made it possible | Paul Beckey and Carol Laskey | Grand Pacific 10 Day South Island Spectacular | Travelled on 10th March 2018
Carol and I were on the Grand Pacific 10 Day South Island Spectacular from 11th March to 20th March. Initially organising the tour with the brilliant assistance from Natalie DeCaro was made very easy. Nothing was too much trouble for Natalie in spite of her having to deal with some very inclement weather during the organising period. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour.Read more
The coach crew were very helpful, entertaining and knowledgeable in all aspects of the country travelled through, the attractions to visit and the history of the country. John Crummey did his utmost to accommodate everyone's wishes and he was always very pleasant and cheerful. The coach driver, Geoff Painter, was an excellent driver. Never rushed and very safe. One always felt comfortable knowing Geoff was at the controls. Our accommodation was very good with very few problems. We did have difficulty with gettting a room with a walk-in shower. in spite of asking several times. It wasn't arranged until the penultimate night. Carol was unable to access the showers located over the tubs which made life more difficult than necessary. Our disappointment came from knowing that other people in our group had walk-in showers but did not have the mobility problems that Carol had and she needed the walk-in shower. We were very happy with the standard of accommodation throughout the journey. The included attractions were, for the most part, very good. The TranzAlpine Express experience was most enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was the jet boat ride on the Haast River. The night in Queenstown when we travelled by the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station was a truly great experience. We loved it all including the sing song on the return journey on the TSS Earnslaw. We felt that following the dinner we were rushed a bit to go to the sheep dog show. More time for a coffee following the meal would have been appreciated. The meal at the station was really good. At Te Anau I went on the glow worm cave tour. That was a great experience. Our trip to Milford Sound was good. We were lucky to have good weather that day and, in fact, for most of the trip. At no stage did the weather interfere with our planned activities.Would have liked more time in Dunedin. Looked a very interesting city We were taken to Larnach Castle which was quite interesting but the stairs made it too much of a challenge for some people. We would have preferred to have the opportunity to do a short rail journey from Dunedin along the coast. There was a 90 minute journey available but it was just not possible with our timings. The Haggis Ceremony was a lot of fun and we enjoyed that as a lead up to dinner. The accommodation at Twizel was very good despite our expectations of mediocre accommodation suggested (perhaps jokingly) by our tour guide. The trip to Mount Cook was great. We were lucky to see the mountain clear of cloud and we really enjoyed seeing the snow caps on the mountain and adjacent peaks. On our return to Christchurch we were taken on a tour of the CBD. A number of tour participants had arrived in Christchurch prior to the commencement of the tour and had already done their own tour of the city. Perhaps an alternative arrangement could be offered to people who had already done this aspect of the tour. All in all it was a most enjoyable tour. We were well looked after by the coach staff, the coach was extremely comfortable and the accommodation was very good. I would not hesitate in recommending a similar tour to anyone wishing to have an overview of the South Island. A great experience and thanks to all who made it possible.
A very well organized trip | Peter & Beth Oxenbury, Customised | 12 Day Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford Sound & West Coast | Travelled on 10th March 2018
Beth & I, Would like to thank you for a really well organized trip to the South Island. All the links worked like clockwork. also the accommodation was of a good standard and all the staff were really helpful. We would certainly recommend you company's services to anyone.
We would recommend this tour to everyone | Jan and Ron Funnell Grand Pacific 9 Day Northern Spectacular, Travelled on 16th March 2018
We both loved the tour, but unfortunately I was quite sick the week before we left and perhaps I should have inquired whether we could defer the holiday for a while until I had recovered more. In any event both the Coach Captain Lindsay Ferguson and the Tour Guide Dave Taylor made sure that I was well taken care of during the tour, plus all the other guests looked out for me too.Read more
We liked all the of the hotels we stayed in except for the Sudima Lake at Rotorua where there was no disabled room available nor was there a grab rail or shower stool I had to take a chair from the balcony into the shower, the hotel is somewhat tatty and old not at all disabled friendly I would not like to stay there again. We loved the Scenic Hotel at Piahia I think that was our favourite hotel, windows and door to open large room big disabled bathroom we just loved it. Also liked the Copthorne at Solway Park Wairarapa it also had door opening to a small semi private courtyard overlooking the outdoor pool where you could sit in the quiet cool evening. Sky City in Auckland was also very good though I couldn't cope with the room decor black net curtains and black drapes, dark furniture and dark grey carpet left me feeling somewhat claustrophobic but the amenities were great. The food in all the hotels was very good and the prearranged tours were well thought out as were the optional tours. All in all we did enjoy our holiday with Grand Pacific the whole tour was well thought out and put together the accommodation was great with the exception of the Sudima Lake at Rotorua. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a great tour of New Zealand's North Island.
The Accommodation was excellent | Mrs Glenys Sharpe | Grand Pacific 9 Day Northern Spectacular | Travelled on 8th March 2018

Both islands are beautiful and the people most friendly. The weather was very kind including a smooth ferry trip from Picton to windy Wellington. We were also very fortunate that the 48 passengers we started with were most compatible so it made things easier for all. We would recommend your company to others as we were most satisfied. Thanks again to you personally, Regards, Ian Wesche
A memorable trip | Mr. ALAN BROOKS | Grand Pacific 16 Day Solo Travellers Highlights Tour | Travelled on 13th March 2018
Well satisfied with all booking arrangements, all carried out in a very professional manner and went through with out a hitch. Regarding the tour I must first compliment both coach captains Alex and Kevin also tour guide Brian who all contributed in making the trip so memorable.Read more
They had a wealth of knowledge on the history and culture of the Islands which they shared with us throughout the tour with quite a few jokes and interesting stories. All hotels were up to standard except the Heritage Gateways at Omarama which had badly stained carpets in the room and the meals were just adequate, others in the group commented on this issue. Despite some early starts and long travelling times in the coach I thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour, each day was so varied regarding terrain, scenery and places of interest. Hard to chose highlights of the tour but my four favourite locations would have to be Queenstown, Fox Glacier, Rotorua (loved the gondola ride and breakfast at the Skyline followed by a luge ride and the thrill of a optional Mount Tarawera Volcano flight and landing via Helicopter) and finally two night of relaxation at the Bay of Islands. Best regards, Alan
We will not hesitant to do it again | Donna & Richard Gement | Grand Pacific 14 Day New Zealand Panorama | Travelled on 7th March 2018

We felt the value received for the cost of the tour was very good and the details of the trip were well arranged. Coaches were comfortable and drivers/guides were professional but also enjoyable. I have already suggested this tour company to a friend and will not be hesitant to do it again. We were fortunate with good weather which no one can control but it did make the trip more pleasant. Beautiful country with nice people and we are so glad we made the choice to visit. Thank you for your part in this trip. Dick and Donna Gement
Over all our trip was wonderful, well constructed and prepared | Russell & Wendy Miller | AAT Kings 9 Day Southern Wonders | Travelled on 12th March 2018
Hi Christina Our trip was one to remember in a very positive way. Enjoyed all aspects. The hotels we stayed at were very good all round and the meals were of a very high standard. Our travel director (Susie Ferkins) was amazing. She knew her job very well and made the whole trip so enjoyable. Her very professional and well organised approach plus her fun attitude was the icing on the cake.Read more
Also the Driver Guide (Monica Buergi) was excellent. We felt very relaxed and safe with her driving style. She was hard working with the luggage as well. Great assets Susie and Monica are to the company. The only part of the tour that was a bit wasteful was a stop at The Makarora Country Cafe just before Cromwell. This place was overcrowded, nothing to see or do and they ran out of food. Other people in our group were complaining about this. It meant that we had very little time in Arrowtown which we all loved. An extra hour or two there would have been better. The social side of the tour was very nice with others from Australia,UK and USA. I think because we are Kiwis they enjoyed talking with us and finding out more about NZ. Over all our trip was wonderful, well constructed and prepared. From a New Zealanders point of view you were turning our overseas companions into raptures. Well done
We were most impressed with the way the tour was structured | Murray Jenkin | Grand Pacific 10 Day South Island Spectacular | Travelled on 11th March 2018
A friend and I have just returned from a most enjoyable 10 day tour of the South Island organised by Grand Pacific Tours which we arranged via Louise Barrett. We were most impressed with the way the tour was structured, the attention to detail, the personalities and expertise of both the our guide and driver not to mention the friendliness and support we received at all times from others (mainly Australians) on the tour.Read more
Obviously we would have liked to have lingered longer at certain places like Arrowtown and Geraldine but we understood why this was not possible. The weather was perfect for 95% of the time which added to our enjoyment and we have no hesitation is recommending this tour unreservedly to other NZers. Many thanks. Murray Jenkin and Marie Thomas
Everything went well | Carmel Joseph and Bernardette Farrugia | North and South Islands Highlights | Travelled on 3rd March 2018
Thank you for organising this tour for us. Everything went well, all pickups where on time and arrivals were on time too. (1) Pick-up of the coach from Greymouth was a bit disorganised with shoving and pushing to get on the bus. (2) the stop at Franz Josef in the afternoon did not give us enough time to walk to the glacier. By the time we were dropped at the car park by the glacier there was not enough time to walk to the glacier and back to catch the last van back to Franz Josef. Otherwise everything went perfectly well.
Extremely satisfied customers | Sheila & David Reed | Grand Pacific 9 Day Taste of the South Island | Travelled on 4th March 2018

Thank you again for all your help in organising this trip. I can honestly say I have never been so looked after from the start to finish! You are courteous, knowledgeable and very aware that these holidays are very important to the persons booking them. You can rest assured I will and have already recommended yourself and the company to family and friends!!! Sheila and David Reed, extremely satisfied customers
Above all so impeccable organized | Adriana Ruesch | Grand Pacific 16 Day Highlights of New Zealand | Travelled on 2nd March 2018
Beautiful country and beautiful trip ... the views are unique, above all so impeccable and organized. Next year my daughter and her family will visit New Zealand ... I hope that the family group will receive it with some benefits and discounts.
Best parts of the New Zealand tour Bay of Islands | Barry Schnur and Mariam Cohen | Grand Pacific 9 Day Northern Spectacular round trip | Travelled on 2nd March 2018
We really enjoyed the trip and the efforts not only of our guides but those of Salli Smith. That said, I suspect for future vacations we'll be perhaps a bit less 'tour' oriented and more 'vacation' oriented.Read more
For our entire journey there were something like a dozen 'changes of base': Honolulu -- 2 nights Sydney - 1 night Cairns -- 3 nights Melbourne -- 8 nights Auckland -- 3 nights Bay of Islands -- 2 nights Auckland --1 night Rotorua -- 2 nights Napier -- 1 night Wellington - 2 nights National Park --3 nights Waikoloa Village -- 6 nights That's a lot of unpacking and packing -- and the tour portion also entailed 6AM wake up calls. This is not a complaint -- just that it was an ambitious travel plan. Future long trips for us will not have more than 6 base changes. That said we've lots of memories and my wife figures it will take a couple of months before she's finished editing out the thousands of pictures. Best parts of the New Zealand tour: 1) Bay of Islands -- we had two day cruises which we really enjoyed 2) Rotorua -- Hangi -- that was fun 3) Wellington -- Museum tour 4) Hobbiton There were other memories as well. I do think we will return to New Zealand in a few years -- but perhaps doing a different structure -- fewer stops and longer duration.
I would recommend this tour team to my friend and family | Raju & Jyoti | 9 Day Taste of the South Island | Travelled March 2018
Hi Emma, Thank You so much for arranging this wonderful trip for us. You did some magic to get us on this trip. Everyone on coach was from Australia except my husband and me were from USA miles away. People were very friendly and made us feel at home. We needed special vegetarian diet and we enjoyed all the meals.Read more
The grand tour took very good care of us; right from pickup to drop off at the airport. It was wonderful experience. We loved the tour. I have been talking about You and beautiful New Zealand to everyone. South New Zealand is very natural, gorgeous and scenic. All the hotels were good except Queensland. It was little bit outdated. Bathroom was old. Our coach Driver/ manager was very friendly, helpful and did fantastic job. Emma communicated with us all the time, prepared us and informed us about the trip. She is very patient, answered all our questions and returned our phone calls. I would recommend this tour team to my friend and family. My only wish is that this tour company offer tours in other countries. Thanks Again, Raju & Jyoti
Would recommend for elderly customers | Karen Rossbach | Grand Pacific 8 Day Taste of the North Island | Travelled on 9th March 2018
Professional outfit making guests feel welcomed and cared for. Would have liked to see more active add on activities and less coach time per day, but overall an enjoyable, well run tour with a great guide/driver and genial guests. Would recommend for elderly customers.
The coach captains (Alex and Kevin) made the tour great | Gail Gorud, Grand Pacific 16 Day Highlights of New Zealand | Travelled on 24th February 2018
Thanks Lauren for recommending GP 16 Day Highlights--it was the perfect tour for me. I was happy with the selected hotels because they were folksy or allowed us to stay in some smaller towns where they're weren't fancier hotels.Read more
I hope travelers will be clear about the level of hotels they want. The coach captains (Alex and Kevin) made the tour great.
The bus had plenty of leg room and I never felt uncomfortable | Julian and Beverley Cooke | Grand Pacific 16 Day Highlights of New Zealand | Travelled on 24th February 2018
We had flights to NZ booked and so had a specific time frame to fit in a tour. Kelly at New Zealand Coach Tours was able to suggest tours that fitted our requirement, replying to my email requests very promptly each time I made changes.Read more
The Grand Pacific 16 day Highlights of NZ was a fantastic way of seeing all the major sights. The coach captains were very friendly and knowledgeable. Having porterage at every hotel saved each guest from having to drag their cases to and from the coach each day. The breakfast provided every day always had plenty of choice, be it cooked or continental style. And having a 3-course evening meal almost every day saved having to go out and look for something in the locality. Trips and experiences included in the package were excellent, some of them giving exclusive access before the public. Highlights would be the Te Papa museum in Wellington, The luge in Rotorua, and Bay of Islands boat tour. There was also a good choice of optional experiences, I recommend the 1 hour tour of Russell as well as the Te Anau glow worm cave. The coach stops for coffee/lunch etc were always in fascinating places. The bus had plenty of leg room and I never felt uncomfortable. Seat rotation is an excellent idea.

Instead of traveling from Christchurch to Dunedin our tour was reversed and we took the Trans Alpine train first to Greymouth. This was a blessing as the train service was suspended for a few days after that due to the tropical cyclone that hit South Island during this period. Our accommodation throughout our stay in South Island was really good. The tour coaches were nice and clean and the drivers were knowledgeable and some were just fun to be with. I would use this tour company again if I decide to visit again. Thank you Erynn Bell for the extra effort you took to get our itinerary rearranged.
NZCT went above and beyond to help make this tour amazing for me Heather Kirby | Auckland to Christchurch Ultimate Explorer | Travelled on 19th February 2018
Heather Mullett was the best. She went above and beyond to help make this tour amazing for me. After 30 years of waiting for this experience, I wanted to see everything. She did all the planning and arrangements after we gave her a rough outline. Hotels were often booked where ever we went so I was doubly glad we arranged it with her. Looking at the prices of hotels and tours available without having coach tours book them, I feel that we got the most economical deal as well. My dad and I have traveled a lot all over the world and this was one of our easiest and most enjoyable trips. I especially liked that we were able to do an “independent tour” so we and our two friends went at our own pace instead of being locked into a fixed itinerary. The only thing I wish we had planned for was more time in Wellington- a cool but windy city. An unexpected find was on the north island- Oamaru. It has a steam punk museum in this quaint little fishing town. I had to explain to all my party what “steam punk” was but they thought the place was fabulous. Very quirky and a “must see” for those that are looking for something definitely different! Kuirau Park at Rotorua has cool bubbling pools of mud and hot springs to soak your legs in. An easy walk from the hotel and free. Botanical gardens are everywhere. Wellington’s is particularly nice. Ferry ride from North to South awesome. Picton where it lands is worth a little time- nice walks. I liked that we had breakfast booked into our hotels every day possible. Made it so easy and the food was excellent. Anyway, I can’t recommend this organization and Christina more. Even for those that don’t like “tours”, they can help you get the most out of New Zealand without having to drive on those scary little roads on the wrong side!

Our driver was Steve and he was very passionate about his beautiful country, and so he should be. The scenery is amazing everywhere you look. Steve told us many funny stories and gave us so much insight into culture, scenery every where we went, we enjoyed his tales and had lots of laughs along the way. He sure made our trip that much more interesting. People have asked me the best part it is sure hard to pick one but I was blow away at Walter Peak Station and the singsong as we went back to Queenstown was fun especially as half the boat was tipsy. Food was amazing every where we went and both Bob and my waist lines expanded too much, now to get it off. Accommodation was excellent and we had a great bunch of fellow tourists, some from Aust, NZ and lots from UK. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES Regards Bob and Pat

The actual tour began well and according to plan with fabulous coach trip from Nelson to Christchurch via Blenheim. All travel, transfers and hotel arrangements were smoothly and politely conducted on this part of the trip and on fantastic coach tip to Aoraki Mount Cook across the Canterbury Plains with an interesting driver commentary, complete with singing!! Lake Takapo shone in the sunshine and the Hermitage Hotel hotel gave splendid views of the mountain scenery. Accommodation and hospitality here was very good. The journey to and exciting Skyline Gondola experience in Queenstown was just what was needed after a lazy and relaxing 3 days and the TSS Earnslaw cruise to Walter Peak was very interesting - with a feast to die for at the BBQ dinner (especially the sticky date pudding). The Mercure Resort Hotel was a fair distance out of town and the taxis not very reliable so not for the feint hearted!! From then on the trip got interesting and "off piste"when we were stranded at the Heartland Motel in Haast pass due to road closures and destruction caused by the cyclone aftermath! Well done to Emma and the Team who worked all weekend to keep in touch with us and our families waiting at home - and a great thank you to the management and staff at the motel who went to great lengths to keep us all warm and fed! With further weather warnings on the horizon we decided to cut our losses and, music to our ears when Andrew, our driver from Great Sights Coaches said "I'm heading back to Nelson". Although we missed out on a trip to the glacier, a night in Hokitika and the Tranz- Alpine train trip, Emma was able to organise our travel with Andrew back to Nelson with a bit of sightseeing at Hokitika and Punakaiki thrown in! What a great team at New Zealand Coach tours - can't recommend them highly enough!

Our guide/driver combo thought his job stopped when he parked the bus. Other tour groups received a level of support and welcome and guidance beyond the bus. Thank you so much for organising our stay | Sally and Derek Staley | New Zealand Southern Loop | Travelled on 24th January 2018
We had a fantastic time in New Zealand. We enjoyed the North Island as each area was so different from the next. South Island was just full of amazing landscapes.
Thank you so much for organising our stay in South Island everything went so smoothly and we have so many great memories. Derek highlight was the train journey and mine was Milford Sound. We both loved Queenstown and thorough enjoyed our extended stay there. In Franz Joseph we decided on the 3 hour walk to see the glacier as the weather was so warm and dry. In fact we have had glorious weather throughout New Zealand apart from Mount Cook where it poured with heavy rain the whole 24 hours we were there and we had to stay on the hotel, and our 2nd visit to Christchurch where it was 15 degrees. A little cold after 2 weeks of 30+ !! We were very impressed with the coach drivers who provided their passengers with interesting information about each of the areas we visited and plenty of stops. All the hotels were very good and catered for our needs. We had rooms with smashing views and good sized balconies apart from Queenstown, where we had a great room but could have done with a balcony as we had additional time there. But that's a very minor point. We are now coming to the end of our 2 week stay in Australia, where again we have had fanatic weather and managed to do everything we hoped to. So thank you Salli and if we come to New Zealand again we come straight back to you and New Zealand Coach Tours. Kind regards Sally and Derek Staley

The tour was a great success, everything went smoothly | Angela and Derek Franklin | Grand Pacific 19 Day Rail, Cruise & Coach Tour | Travelled on 16th January 2018
My husband and I planned our New Zealand trip for my 50th and his 60th birthday and looked at all different options and contacted Natalie who was really helpful and patient with our list of questions.
When we booked our holiday everything went smoothly and Natalie was always at the end of the email if we had a query, like adding an extra night in the hotel before the tour started, getting picked up from the airport even asking questions about the holiday protection (atol protection in UK) Natalie would always answer promptly allowing for time difference between UK and New Zealand. The tour was a great success, everything went smoothly, better weather perhaps but Natalie couldn't do anything about that. I would book with Natalie if ever we come back to New Zealand. Thanks for your help

My mum and her partner had an amazing time - thank you so much for organising. Each time I spoke to them they were raving about the scenery and their hotels.
I caught up with them in Queenstown and they took pride in showing me their hotel room. They were looked after so well and said their coach drivers were both helpful and entertaining. This was just the sort of trip a 78 and 81 year old needed. 'The beautul sights are all inprinted on my memory' said my mum's partner when they got back. Would definately recommend! Tracy
Very happy with this tour and will certainly recommend it | Edgardo & Anne-Mari Dimaano, Waitomo, Rotorua and Hobbiton 3 Day Tour | Travelled on 15th December 2017
Our recent tour of Rotoura was a joyful and memorable experience. Our pick up from our Auckland hotel and the tours were organised by Natalie from New Zealand coach tours who did an excellent job.
The tour of the Glow worm caves at Waitomo and Rotorua was great, we were enthralled at the glow worms which also reminded us of Christmas lights and canoeing down the cave was thrilling! Getting to know the Maori culture through dance and actions was interesting and enjoyable at all times. The drivers on the coaches kept us informed and took good care of us with meals, water and any advise. Hobbiton was great to see and explore. The pies at Green Dragon Inn were delicious. The Waitotapu Termal park was so amazing and awesome being there. Sudima hotel staff, meals and accommodation was good. As mentioned before, we are very happy with this tour and will certainly recommend it. Thank you.

Your service was excellent | Debbie and Guy Prudhoe & Peter and Stephanie Bruce, Bay of Islands and Cape Reinga Deluxe | Travelled on 8th January 2018
We really enjoyed our time in NZ and the tour was perfect for the limited amount of time we had in the country, we squeezed a lot in and so it was nice to have the one day to ourselves in the middle of the tour to relax.
The hotel was fine, a little tired around the edges but the staff were good and helpful. Due to the location being outside Paihia and a little too far to walk into town, it would have been nice if the courtesy bus ran later than 5.30pm. Taxis in the area are rare and we were told they were unreliable, so we were restricted to eating at the hotel each night and the menu was a little restricted. Also, the courtesy bus wasn’t reliable, one morning we had booked on and waited outside ready but when we checked with reception 15 minutes after it should have left, the hotel hadn’t got a driver! The tours were great and most of the coach drivers were really good. Yvonne was the driver from Auckland to Paihia and the first day and she was quite rude and aggressive when we were trying to check we were on the right coach – might just have been her personality though. Only small negatives though and we would definitely recommend the tour to others. We might come back to explore the south island so I will contact you again if we do. Thanks very much, your service was excellent J Debbie Prudhoe
You really made it our once in a lifetime tour | Kerstin Brannland & Jan Berget | AAT Kings 18 Day Best of New Zealand | Travelled on 2nd December 2017

You really made it our once in a lifetime tour. Everything turned out just perfect to us. Our travel director Nathan Hyslop and driver Monica Buergi were both absolutely fantastic. Nathan was organising everything and telling us all about sights and places we visited. He did it so enthusiastic and professional. We'll always remember lots of what he's told us as wonderful memories. Organising all these activities for everybody everywhere can't be easy, he did an incredible job. At the same time he had to deal with lots of practical things, like people getting delayed to join the tour, illnesses and injuries to some of our fellow travellers. Everything was handled so good and professional. Monica was driving extremely well, so safe, comfortable and always on time. Sometimes the roads were really narrow and winding (like the west coast of Norway). It really stands respect of her secure and professional driving. So it's 10 points out of 10 to all three of you from both of us. Our favourites. Areas. My favourite was the Bay of Islands. The scenery was stunning and we were so lucky with the weather. Here we're just a small group, that got together really well. The Bay of Islands wasn't crowded either, just before the school holiday. Jan's favourite was Queenstown, with his background in extreme sports he felt very much at home. We were both amazed by Milford Sound so beautiful, and all the sights on the way getting there. Activities. We participated in many activities and enjoyed them all. The cultural evening with the Tamaki Family Marae in Rotorua was unforgetable. I found the Kiwi Encounter at Rainbow Springs Nature Park very interesting. Jan was thrilled by his first zip line experience with Canopy Tours. We're excited by the Skippers Canyon Scenic Tour and the jet boat ride in Shotover river. Hotels. They were all excellent, in good locations and really high standard. Breakfast buffet and dinners were extremely good. We've put on some extra kilos so now it's exercising at home. Service was also very good, for example when the air condition didn't work properly in our room, we got another room. The upgrade hotel in Franz Josef was fantastic, with the rainforest just outside the window. We'll always have lots of wonderful memories and be so grateful to all of you for organising this perfect tour to us. We experienced so much in our AAT Kings 18 Day Best of New Zealand tour that we could never have done on our own. Kindest Regards from Kerstin and Jan
A trip of a lifetime! | Alan & Susan Harber, Grand Pacific 19 Day Rail, Cruise & Coach Tour | Travelled on 1st November 2017
This was an amazing tour for the sights and activities we experienced. The booking process was very simple from England. Natalie always provided prompt and friendly answers to any questions we had, despite the 13 hour time difference.
Grand Pacific certainly turned out to be the cream of the tours. So much was included, from the high standard of hotels with really good food to the various sights. Often GP were able to secure private access, such as the Glenbrrok railway or the private lounge on the inter-island ferry. Also we really appreciated not having to handle our luggage throughout. All the little details seem to have been taken care of from the daily timings sheet to the change-round of coach seats every day. We chose this tour because it offered an overnight on a boat on Milford Sound whereas other companies hurried there and back in a day. The highlights for us were two optional trips. The first was the helicopter landing on the Franz Josef Glacier. It was worth every penny and is one of the best things we have ever done! The other was the Skippers Canyon trip from Queenstown. In a 4x4 minibus the drive is always close to the edge of a long drop, but always felt safe. The views of the river far below were amazing. I would thoroughly recommend both of these trips. I was a little disappointed that our booking itinerary still showed the Coastal train on the South Island even though this has not been able to run since the earthquake. It really is time this was changed. This is quite a tiring tour, being out of the hotel by 8.00 most mornings. It is not a leisurely holiday, but to experience so much in the time was exceptional. Nick the tour guide and our two drivers Megan and Peter always provided the right amount of information. We learnt so much about the country and its people. From the moment of enquiring about booking to the farewell dinner we were so pleased with everything. A trip of a lifetime! Many thanks to all concerned. Alan and Susan Harber
It was a most enjoyable holiday | Alan Mulhearn, AAT Kings 18 Day Best of New Zealand | Travelled on 4th November 2017
We thoroughly enjoyed the AAT Kings New Zealand coach tour of New Zealand. It was great being transferred to and from airport at beginning and end to and from our accommodation and found the drivers very courteous and helpful.
Kevin our tour guide and Stu coach driver kept us informed of places we were seeing and hidden treasures, the loo stops were interesting and choices along the way were varied. The stories from the local lads were entertaining. We loved your ice cream and plenty of opportunities to sample the local produce. A New Zealand ice cream shop was established in our town but unfortunately didn't last the distance. Hotel accommodation was excellent but unfortunately we were constantly on move and didn't have much time to relax. The two nights in one place was good and a chance to catch up with laundry - only the operating times didn't give much time to get this done. Weather was perfect for the duration of our stay and the scenery was amazing. We certainly did see the best NZ has to offer. Thanks for organising - it was a most enjoyable holiday and we enjoyed the luxury it offered.
Recommend NZ Couch Tours to anybody | Greg & Anna Lebowa, 14 Day New Zealand Panorama | Travelled on 17th November 2017
We have enjoyed our vacation in New Zealand very much. I wanted to see both islands and the itinerary we had covered all the tourist attractions on both islands well.
Especially because it is impossible to see everything in such a short time. We have only positive comments about our stay there. It will be pleasure for us to recommend NZ Couch Tours to anybody who would like to visit this beautiful country. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018. Regards, Greg and Anna.

We especially appreciated the assigned hotel at Christchurch at the end of the first week and at the end of the second week.Read more
It was because the extra that came with the room which no other hotel had, a washer & dryer which were very welcome after one week travelling. Most of the people who came to meet us were very helpful & nice & was on time. There were only two incidents with one pick up & one drop of. We had informed you not being picked up at one place. The other was going to Copthorne Hotel. Somehow the driver didn’t know there’s two Copthorne Hotels and dropped us to the wrong one. The one we were booked with was three blocks away. We had to carry our suitcases to the second hotel and the night was getting dark. This was the only hotel was not at the centre of town. Over all, all the hotels were great choices. As for the trip, I was thrilled to visit Hobbiton with the rolling hills, sheep & ponds. It was so peaceful, carefree & happy place just like the movie. The glowworm cave at Rotorua was very impressive. The most interesting place to visit was the evening experience to Tamaki Village. My husband even learned to do the Haka dance just for experience. I think those places are a must for all visitors. I found all lunches were great when included even on the boat tour at Milford Sound. The South Island has a different charm. It was mostly from nature with snow capped hills, wildlife & water. Over all, most planned activities were great. We only found one place didn’t give us enough time for visit. The day we arrived to Wellington was very late in the afternoon and we had to leave the next day at 8:30. It would be good to have one full day to spend at a new place. NZ is such a big country with two islands; it is too bad you don’t have a passenger rail system for travel from top to bottom. We love your country & thanks again for you help. Jane & Ralph Swaine from Canada
When the time comes, I will be back in touch - you are the best! | Toni Weaver and Betty Kerr, 11 Day Contrasts of New Zealand Indepdendent Coach Tour | Travelled on 28th September 2017
We finally are back home after our wonderful visit to your beautiful country, and we both want to thank you so very much for the trip you put together for us. I can't adequately put into words how much we appreciate all your work - everything went like clockwork from the time we stepped off the plane in Auckland.
All the people who met and transferred us were always on time and so very nice. I always feel things happen for a reason, even though we may not know it (when there was only one seat left on the ATAA Kings tour). We actually were much happier being independent rather than on an organized coach with the same people every day. The ATAA Kings bus was with us in several locations (along with a bus from Trafalgar) and watching everyone, we said how happy we were to be on different coaches daily, meeting different people and the nice drivers. We saw so many wonderful things, it is hard to decide what we enjoyed the most! We loved Queenstown and were so pleased to have the gondola ride that replaced the Auckland dinner cruise - we enjoyed being up there and seeing the lovely lake surrounded by the mountains in every direction. The Novotel on the lake there was wonderful - not only having the lake view but the convenience of being really "in town" to be able to walk around. In Franz Joseph, our room faced the mountains and when we arrived we really didn't see them - but the next morning, when we were up early for departure, the mist had cleared and there they were, covered in snow. It was wonderful. Even though we had some wet weather, we generally were on the bus at the time so all was well. We did not see Mt. Cook because of rain (that means I have to go back!) but we had a glorious day in MIlford Sound and also on the Trans-Alpine Express. I could go on and on and I am re-living everything when I look at my pictures (I took close to 1,000 - couldn't stop taking the sheep in the green pastures - loved seeing all the new lambs and I don't think I can ever eat another piece of lamb again!). In Christchurch, we liked the Novotel much better than the Rendezvous and were happy it (Novotel) was our last accommodation before leaving the country. My pictures finally are in order and ready to send. I don't know if you have any way of contacting "Thomas" in Rotorua but he was so enjoyable. We asked if we could have a picture with him, and I am attaching it, in case you can send it on. He would remember the two old ladies, I am sure (I am the short one on the right). Again, Lauren, thank you more than we can say - I hope I can return to NZ in the not too distant future. So much more I would love to see and also re-do. I was talking to another friend who hasn't been on the South Island but that would involve two single rooms so I know would be more costly. When the time comes, I will be back in touch - you are the best! Warmest regards, Toni
Thank you for the marvellous trip you organized for us | Saul & Patricia Goldberg, 7 Day Southern Highlights Including Milford Sound | Travelled on 13th October 2017

Natalie made the booking process easy | Craig and Angela Halpern, Dunedin, Queenstown, Milford Sound and Mt. Cook | Travelled on 21st October 2017
Natalie made the booking process easy and materials were very explicit. She even customized the basic tour to meet our needs and made a motel change on the fly. At all of the transfer points we were met by lovely people who made us feel comfortable and at home.Read more
All of the accommodations were clean and safe, and allowed us to save money by allowing us to prepare breakfast in our kitchenettes. The Bella Vista in Christchurch was cramped and noisy from the street, and I would not recommend it, however the Christchurch Airport Motel was lovely and accommodating. All the rest of the hotels were close to stores for food and within walking distance to attractions. All of the tour buses were great and the driver provided great historical commentary. I would stay away from the InterCity bus to Dunedin or use the InterCity Gold option for people on Holiday. Monarch Cruises was great in Dunedin; we saw dolphins. As well as the Penguin Sanctuary. Don’t miss the Museum next to the Dunedin Train Station. Sample the Pinot Noir wines from Central Otago in Queenstown along with the many restaurants and adventure sports. Milford Sound was great and we highly recommend the day hike to the Mount Aroki Glacier at Mount Cook. The guide takes great pictures of you on your camera! Also try the star gazing tour at Mount Cook.

New Zealand is the most stunning country and we had a wonderful trip | Win Beston and Kath Geipel, AAT Kings 14 Day New Zealand Vista (LAAC), Travelled on 31st October 2017
Kath Geipel and I would like to thank you so much for organising our recent tour of the North and South Islands. New Zealand is the most stunning country and we had a wonderful trip.Read more
All the accommodation was excellent and the tour guide, Sarah really knew her stuff and kept us all updated on a daily basis with fact sheets and itineraries. There were plenty of extra activities to suit all ages and tastes - at my age, bungy-jumping was not on my itinerary, but I particularly enjoyed my visits to Hobbiton and Larnach Castle. I would recommend AAT Tours to friends. Thank you too for all your assistance with bookings etc. Win Beston
Loved the history and the rich culture | He Weilun, 9 Day Upper North Island Adventure | Travelled on 11th November 2017
The apartment and hotels that were booked for us were nice and cosy. Hotel staff and coach drivers were friendly.
For quest apartment room, the housekeeper needs to clean the air con as we saw a thick layer of dust in the filter. There was a thick layer of lint found in the laundry dryer filter. For Sea Spray Suites and Tuscany Villas, the rooms are beautiful and cosy. Just that we hate to carry our luggages up the stairs to our room. The timing for this tour was good. Maybe more time and places of interest should be given on 15th november. Didnt skydive in Paihia. Maybe next time go to Taupo for skydiving. Love the history and the rich culture.
We would definitely recommend this tour | James & Janice Greaves, Grand Pacific 19 Day New Zealand Showcase | Travelled on 15th October 2017
We loved our Grand Pacific 19 Day New Zealand Showcase Tour in October. You had arranged extra days for us both prior to the tour and after it and everything - the hotels and the transfers - went well.
The tour took us to some amazing, beautiful and interesting places and our two coach captains were very knowledgeable and very entertaining. Our tour guide Kerrie was patient, kind and very helpful and made everything fun. We would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you for organising it for us. Best Wishes, Jam and Jim Greaves
We were very satisfied with the service provided | Lois Eckersley, 9 Day Southern Alps to the Southern Lakes | Travelled on 28th November 2017

The tour was amazing, hassle free, all transport and accomodations met expectations and more. Thanks for everything. We have already recommended this to others.
This was a wonderful holiday & experience for me | Jean Carruthers, Grand Pacific 16 Day Solo Travellers Highlights Tour | Travelled on 25th October 2017
Thank you for all your help in arranging my trip to New Zealand. Everything went well with my flights, firstly to Singapore for the three days I spent there (loved it), then the rest to New Zealand and return.
It is a beautiful country and I so enjoyed the coach tour and everything I saw and did. Was a wee bit disappointed that it wasn't as "solo" as I thought it would be. Lots of people seemed to know each other and I felt to begin with there was a feeling of groups. However it wasn't too long before I struck up a couple of friendships. I also came back with a dreadful cold/cough but that cannot be helped. Every other day someone in the coach was feeling poorly so it was only a matter of time before I was affected also! Fortunately on my last day! Thank you again for all the effort you put into making this a wonderful holiday and experience for me. Hope you are well. Kind regards, Jean
We were pleased that we made the decision not to drive | Anona & Colin Youngson | 12 Day Glaciers and Overnight Fiordland | Travelled on 13th November 2017
Our trip to the South Island was really fantastic. All the pickups and drop offs worked well in Christchurch, Franz Joseph, Queenstown and Mount Cook.
We enjoyed travelling by intercity coaches and appreciated the hardwork and humour of all the drivers. We weren’t expecting the informative running commentary that they gave us so that was a real bonus. We loved the Trans Alpine railway, what magnificent views and the pickup by the intercity coach in Greymouth went smoothly. Our driver also delivered newspapers and packages so it was all very interesting for us stopping at tiny settlements. He then said he had seen the rare Kotuku bird on a previous journey and if anyone spotted it he would stop. We did indeed see this super bird and were able to get that special photo. The accommodation was very good wherever we stayed and we had been able to discuss with Christina the type of hotel we wanted. In Franz Joseph the breakfast was lovely and there we enjoyed walks to see the glacier from a distance and walks through the rainforest. In Queenstown we did a wonderful star gazing session where we learnt to find the Southern Cross and spot other constellations plus Orion which was upside down to us. We saw Mount Cook without cloud and the boat trip on Lake Tasman was great. One of our intercity drivers had stopped to show us the Mount Cook lily growing by the side of the road. Our trip to Milford Sound was spectacular and we were very lucky to see a whale, seals, Fiordland crested penguins, dolphins and an albatross. We had several days in Christchurch but once we got over the surprise of seeing the city still being rebuilt we enjoyed our stay. We spent a lovely morning in the wonderful Botanic Gardens and the interesting Museum and did an excellent walking tour to learn about the city. We also had time to go to the Antarctic Centre which was a mixture of interesting information and fun experiences. We had a couple of minor hiccups with the buses arriving a little later than scheduled but we still made the trips that we had been booked on so these were really just minor points and overall we had a fantastic time. We were pleased that we made the decision not to drive as the driving times are so long. It was exactly the type of independent tailored tour we wanted but with transfers and trips all sorted for us so thank you very much for organising it all for us
The tour was well organized | Elisabetta Duregon, Grand Pacific 14 Day New Zealand Panorama | Travelled on 17th November 2017
New Zealand is amazing and I really enjoyed my stay there. Definitively worth a 27 hour journey. The tour was well organized and both of the coach captains were professional, friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Alarna for arranging everything perfectly.

The Bella Vista could be updated, but it was clean and the staff were very nice. Everything on the itinerary went as planned, we were picked up at our appointed time and all the bus drivers were great. We only had one episode on the last pick up in Queenstown, the bus was rerouted because of the marathon that was going on and the detour took the bus down a steep hill and the bus got stuck at the bottom blocking the whole intersection. The rear double wheels were off the ground and we were the first pick up so we were the only passengers on the bus. The driver was very professional and it wasn't his fault. We were very impressed on how the bus company got us to where we were supposed to go that day and on time. The bus that got stuck was new and very long. The Great Sights and Inter City buses should be commended on how they corrected the situation. The places that we went to were fantastic and the scenery is amazing. We enjoyed the boat and the train ride and would recommend this tour very highly. The super shuttles that we took were on time picking us up so everything went smoothly. This is the first time that we have been on a tour with inter city buses and we weren't sure how it was going to be, but we were pleasantly surprised on how well everything went, because it was a standard bus route and we even picked up and dropped people off along the way but we were always at our destinations on time. All the drivers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave us insight on the local areas along the way. Sorry it took so long to get back to you but we just arrived home on the 29th and we are still jet lagged. We really appreciate what you did with setting up our tour and answering all our questions. Thank you!! Mary Patricia and Allyn Medeiros

We started in the Bay of Islands with the highlight being an island cruise watching dolphins play and sharing a lovely bbq lunch on a stunning island. We next went to Auckland and started the main tour experiencing so many wonderful things from glow worms in underground caves, the delights of hot mineral baths, geysers, stunning mountain ranges, beautiful mirrored lakes, cultural displays, glaziers, rain forests, breath taking coast line and beaches and all in 12 days. The coach drivers were so informative and the pickups seamless. Accommodation excellent. The tour had it all. Thank you New Zealand Coach Tours especially Alarna who organised it and coach drivers Ben, Rachel and Pete who made us laugh and made the trip extra special.

Our itinerary was perfect, and all our private transfers and pick-ups were prompt. We had a few setbacks due to weather, but our queries were always responded to very promptly. This has cemented our belief that choosing a reputable local agency, can truly make the difference in providing one with a dream vacation. Correspondence with Annelise in particular was such a breeze, from start to end. She was incredibly patient and knowledgable, always providing sound suggestions with regards to our desires for our itinerary. We will be recommending New Zealand Coach Tours to all our friends!
We were really satisfied with the arrangement made | Kisanaga Family, New Zealand Family Experience, Travelled on 8th August 2017

All the accommodations were nice and clean except for the blue peaks apt in Queenstown, we had 3 days stay and on the first day hot water tank is not functioning so no shower for us on our arrival, and second day the stove was bursting and we asked for technician but nothing was being fixed while we were having our excursion the whole day and no information about it. We had a blackout in the evening for an hour without any notice too (not recommended for this premises). We did not have a friendly bus driver from Franz Josef to Queenstown, he don't even allowed my kids to have snacks in the bus during our long trip to Queenstown. We were freezing on the bus where he didn't allow the heater higher and half way through the journey suddenly the bus front door opened by itself and could not closed until the new driver took over the bus and fixed it and while driving the driver was checking his mobile phone? how is the driving regulation there? as for the rest we were fully satisfied. We really satisfied with the arrangement made. Thanks a lot Jane.

The Co-ordinated network of guides/Drivers was the highlight of the trips . Although we were initially bit nervous about the ‘independent tour and travel’ package – Our tour organizer Christina B. called us few times (from New Zealand to Canada) and explained how it worked and assured a great experience. She also was quite patient in accommodating a number of customizations we had requested to the tour package. It was great that we were able arrange all our custom travel itinerary for the Customised North Island to Mountain Melody through a single tour company - New Zealand Coach Tours. From the time of our arrival at the Auckland Airport at 5.00 AM on a Sunday until we left Christchurch ten days later, the tour activities and travel were perfectly coordinated and safely organized. All along we felt that we were in safe hands. Throughout, the tour - the organizers, driver guides, and hotel staff were quite courteous, helpful and their hospitality was excellent and beyond our expectation. The tours were filled with variety of activities and took us thru : Majestic mountains, Rolling Grassland filled with sheep and cow, Magnificent Rivers, Waterfalls, Caves, Geysers, Glow worm caves, Maori culture (Rotorua), Polynesian Spa, Trans Alpine scenic rail, Franz Josef Glacier, Mount Cook, breathtaking Milford Fiord and beautiful Queenstown. It was awesome first time New Zealand experience for us. Friendly suggestion: Please include a voucher for the Hangi Dinner at the Mitai Maori Village to avoid confusion at the reception. Also, allocate more time at the Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley and geysers. We definitely will come back to explore the rest of the country thru New Zealand Coach Tours. We are already recommending New Zealand vacation thru New Zealand Coach Tours to our friends in Canada. Thank you Christina for your great assistance and patience for organizing a fabulous and unforgettable New Zealand tour. Very much appreciated.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip | Mary Pat Cress, North and South Cultural Tour, Travelled on 2nd August 2017

Most of the accommodations were great one exception was the Scenic Suites Hotel in Queenstown. Although the room was terrific and staff friendly and helpful, the problem was having to go outside in very cold winter to get to the hotel reception and facilities. It was a nuisance having to put on warm jackets for that purpose. A minor complaint for a thoroughly enjoyable trip and spectacular introduction to New Zealand. I was very impressed with Erynn and all of her arrangements for us. Each driver arrived exactly on time if not a little early and the hotel and transportation arrangements all worked without a hitch.Since I was traveling alone and moving rather quickly it was a great relief to have everything work like clockwork. I much appreciated Erynn's help.

Even though it was cold day we were able to fit a trip to the International Antarctic center and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would definitely recommend NZ Coach tours to family and friends.

Thank you for such a wonderful and stress-free experience! It was so nice knowing that we didn't have to learn to drive on the left and knowing that all the arrangements were taken care of. Narissa was such a pleasure to work with.
She asked very good questions about what we wanted to see and do and created an entire 2 week schedule for us that was paced exactly the way we liked and allowed us to see the things we wanted to see and then some. We felt spoiled rotten and pampered, which is just the way you want to feel when you're on vacation! Thank you Narissa, for EVERYTHING!

Home and settling into life on the Sunshine Coast, back into shorts and singlet tops love it!!!. We had a marvellous time and want to thank you for the effort you made to ensure things went as smoothly as possible.
Of course there is always a hiccup or two but nothing significant. Our trip from Queenstown to Pukerangi was a treat, Kevin (our driver) was delightful and kept the long drive interesting. Lorraine entertained us on our tour to Larnach Castle and City Sights in Dunedin where it snowed on the ground my husband had never seen snow before at least not on the ground.
The Scenic Group of hotels are great, all meals included and all delicious, yum. The International Antarctic Centre was fabulous just didn’t get to spend enough time there. I guess my one regret was not doing the helicopter ride and glacier walk at Franz Josef, in too late and left too early. All in all a great time had by both of us. A spot of constructive criticism if I may and I must add that a few other travellers I met along the way also felt the same about the itinerary. There is way too much repetition in relation to pick ups, I would only go 24 hours ahead so as not to get lost in all the information. Had to read over and over again just to make sure I had not missed anything in the information. I you take a look at Day 11, 14th May for instance on four occasions it tells us about our transfer, that continues throughout Day 18, 21 May, five different versions of our pick. I realise this is not life threatening but it does make it difficult to discern what is important/relevant for the day. Maybe just highlight once only what the relevant information is for that day. As I said constructive only. Again our most sincere thanks for your efforts and that of the team who had to deal with me when things didn’t quite go to plan, Laura in particular seemed to be at the other end of the phone on numerous occasions. Many thanks. Kevin and Rhonda Donaldson

Poor weather caused some activities to be cancelled or rescheduled, and these were done promptly to ensure that we get the best experience possible. The past two weeks was one of the best holidays we ever had. Travelling via the coaches is actually an excellent alternative to driving as the drivers also act as quasi-guides, pointing out things of interest along the way, stopping for photos sometimes and dropping you off at your hotels. You will get plenty of rest and leave the navigation of the difficult terrain to them.

Hi Erynn, Thanks for organising the trip for my family. It was wonderful and you have the most helpful and friendly customer service skill. They loved the trip and said it was beautiful. They said the hotel booked was very good despite they were mostly a budget one. They didn't have any problem following the itinerary during the whole trip. It will even be better if they can stay in tourist spot a bit longer for but they understood it was a rush trip to see so many things in little days. They also commented that every morning, there were lots of different kinds of tour buses at their hotel so they have to be extra careful not to get on the wrong bus. Otherwise they are very satisfied with the trips and once again thanks for your help. Regards, Christy Tsang

Not a boring moment on the coach with him. He came up with some very inventive ideas and took us to some “hidden treasures” which he’d discovered along his travels. Our driver (Geoff), amazed me with his perfect driving. When one does that much driving, you’d think they’d lose focus or concentration but this man was just on top of it at all times. Cant say there was any time where we felt unsafe with him behind the wheel. If I may, there was very little we were not satisfied with on this tour, one of them being the IBIS where we spent the first and last night. Compared to the other hotels (but for one other), it was not great unfortunately. The other was the hotel in Frans Josef. Mainly the food there. I would just say that in comparison to the other hotels we stayed at, these were a little disappointing. But, for the most of it, we had an absolute blast. Thank you too Christina for working with me on this booking and following through to the tour. You were great and so very patient with me. Thank you. ;) Have an awesome day. Kind regards Rene’

Hi Salli, Your organisation contact and professionalism was superb. The trip was wonderful, the coach drivers were interesting and very informative, the stops were timely and well organised. Our hotel accommodation was excellent through Heartland hotels, the rooms were nicely set up and comfortable. The staff without exception were pleasant and helpful. The weather was perfect we were very lucky all the way round we got some snow and no rain at all on the trip only in Christchurch which barely effected anything. We took the tram trip in Christchurch which was worthwhile.
The bus trip was only available at 10am and 2pm in winter which the hotel was unaware after we sat and waited for ages for the (once and hour tour) we rang the company who explained, honestly wasn't a problem the tram was great but just so you know. We loved the Hermitage and were lucky enough to strike Mt Cook clear and sunny the view as the sun went down was for me the highlight of my trip the photos are amazing I will endeavor to send some. The mirror lakes were magic also. Also the day trip to Milford Sound was fabulous, had budget allowed I understand the plane trip back was also well worth the money- as some passengers reported to us. The couriers drivers were excellent there ready to take us to our destination in a pleasant an efficient manner. Also lovely people to chat to! The trip on the Gondolas at Queenstown was very good value and a most enjoyable and pleasant night the food was also very appealing. My husband did the walk up to Fox Glacier and at 74 he did really well, the guide was helpful and patient. Maybe mention there is the facility there to take a short 10 minute helicopter trip up to the glacier and back for $119 as we would have taken that option had we had time and known ahead. The only comment I would make was a lesson for me as well, not to assume. I thought it was a set 9 day tour and we could add further days at either end, I did not realise it was not a tour (as in on the same bus with the same people etc) we would have extended our time in Queenstown and the glaciers instead of the days in Christchurch had we known that that was an option.. so we could have taken advantage of the time to visit Arrowtown ( we had to choose between seeing Queenstown or Arrowtown and Franz Joseph Glacier we paid for the accommodation at Heartland in Christchurch so could have just as easily paid it in Queenstown etc. So just for your future reference with the tours maybe mention that its not absolutely fixed on the days at each Place? But the trip was really well done and organised and we cant fault the service or our dealings with your agents. Thanks again for your help and advice and the above is not a criticism only trying to help with any future bookings you do ( dealing with the grey nomads) We will recommend you personally should we be giving any advice to friends or family here and New Zealand. Thank you Salli it was just a wonderful 9 days. Ive attached a photo will find some and send them on. Kerry and Julie Reid

The coach drivers that took us from one place to another were all very informative, giving us a running commentary about the scenery, nature, wildlife, places we were passing through, etc. We loved Queenstown! We went on the gondola and even did the luge run! The Scenic Suites was a lovely place to stay. Milford Sound was a wonderful day out and we even saw dolphins and seals. Fantastic! Franz Josef was a lovely little place and we walked up to the glacier. We really enjoyed staying at the Scenic Hotel. The trip on the Tranz Alpine train was fabulous and we were so glad that it was running again after the wildfires - we saw what damage they had caused, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the scenery too much at all. When we got to Christchurch there were lots of taxis waiting outside the station, so we needn't have worried about getting to the airport for our flight to Auckland that evening. We got there in plenty of time. We are back in the UK now and trying very hard to recover from the jet lag! New Zealand is a very beautiful country and we can't wait to come back and visit again. Thank you for all your help and for making our trip a real pleasure. We will definitely use New Zealand Coach Tours again when we come back. Thanks Steve Baker

Hi Sara My mother in law and her friend had a great time and raved about the tour. They thought it was really well organised, was good value when considering all of the entries into activities and transport costs, and they were very pleased with the accommodation too! Thanks for showing them a good time Kind regards, Rob Foster

I loved my tour with Grand Pacific. New Zealand is beautiful. The bus was great, and the driver/guide was very knowledgeable. All of the accommodations were very good, some excellent and food was fabulous. I was lucky to have such a great group of people on my bus to make it very enjoyable. I will highly recommend this holiday to my Canadian friends.

We had a very good time spending 11 days travelling from Auckland to Christchurch. Our travel expert Salli was very helpful and talked to us several times before our trip to assure all is in order. Overall the tour was very well organised. All pick ups were on time. Pick ups were by local tour companies and the drivers gave us a brief tour of the city centre nearby before taking us to our hotel.Read more
We met a couple from a similar tour but their pick ups were by taxi and their hotels were not as ideal. Accommodation was very good. The hotels in each city has a distinct feature and most of them include kitchenette. For the activities, we tried the jet boat Shotover Canyon in Queenstown which was a lot of fun! One thing we could include is the glacier tour at Mount Cook which we did not have time for. There are several days where we took the intercity bus travelling between cities. It was a 12 hour bus ride which was indeed tiring but every journey was filled with amazing scenery. Saw lots of geographical features which I only learnt from books but now got to witness and experience in person! Overall we had good memories, an unforgettable trip! Would definitely recommend New Zealand Coach Tours for a truly Kiwi experience! Marie and Harry

Dear Shelley, We would like to express our high appreciation for your arrangement of our journey in New Zealand. We have completed the whole journey and the motels and coaches are very nicely arranged. I would like to thank for your swift response and the quick arrangement for the last minute request. Without your professional guidance and support, we wouldn't have had this wonderful journey. Thank you very much again and we will certainly book with your company next time when we come to visit New Zealand.

First and Foremost, my sincere Thanks and Graditude to the entire staffl at New Zealand Coach Tours, Southern Adventures, Great Sights (for the most part) Newmans Coachs, and with a big bravo to REAL JOURNEYS, and it's partners for providing a most "adventuresome" 8 day "experience' on the South Island of your most beautiful, lush, "heaven on earth" country. much to be proud of. Salute! Ka kite ano, Dennis Fleurant and on behalf of Peter NulleRead more
(Despite the Great Sights snaffle), and I want to make it perfectly clear, the driver couldn't had "made the upmost effort to find us because" 1) We were behind the bus when he pulled out of parking lot if he bothered to look in his rear view mirror he would have spotten us 2) obviously he didn't do a head count prior to departure, 3) He left several minutes PRIOR to the scheduled departure time to admittedly avoid traffic and cut approx 20 minutes off the return trip. My traveling mate Peter Nulle will back me up with each and every one of these details. We are in the discussion stage of planning a return Trip to New Zealand to catch "what we unfortunately missed", the TranzAlpine railway. However we would stipulate that if the TranzAlpine would once again, go out of commission we would appreciate a FULL REFUND of the round trip/return trip of Train Segment. We would also like to include The marae, a Ko Tane Maori Experience, and whare tupuna, Te Arawa Meeting house, We would like to visit Nelson, take The Ferry Boat from South Island to North Island, Explore Wellington, Rotorua and Auckland. We most certainly will book through you and New Zealand Coach Tours. We will avoid as much as possible elongated, cramped, miserable bus excursions the likes I do not ever want to experience in your country or any other for that matter ever again. The Exception. "Real Journeys" more spacious coaches. I will be happy to forward as time permits a collection of pictures of our trip. We also shot a great deal of videos, that I have posted on my facebook page. Feel free to check them out under my name Dennis Fleurant, they have been well received with numerous comments from Friends and Family. In closing Shelley, thanks for the various refunds/credits you have placed back on our credit cards. We most certainly understand that the situations we encountered were of no fault of yours or New Zealand Coach Tours. Keep in mind any return trip will once again involve booking hotel accommodations that will "fit our needs" i.e. necessary Queen/King size beds. It is our Hope and Prayer that the whole of New Zealand will enjoy a full structural and financial recovery from the Earthquakes that have unsettled your people, property and most certainly your Tourism Industry. The tour was absolutely brilliant, the sight seeing, the tour guide (Mel) the driver (Geoff) and the accommodation was 200%. If I had a repeat of what we had I would definitely go again the weather was good but next time would travel in summer mainly just to see the activities on the lakes like Lake Wakitipu. Overall everything was just great but definitely Mel our tourist guide was a big contributor to the success of the tour We wish her all the best in her future Good work AAT Kings

Hello Shelley We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in North Island All the arrangements worked like clockwork Our first hotel was the Grand Chancellor it was a great location but ... we were on the first floor in a corner and the traffic noise was terrible! It did not help that we had serious jet-lag! We think it is advisable to stay in one hotel – we would have left luggage there rather than taking it along with us! but ... I know that was due to the changes I made or requested! The Scenic is now an old hotel and in need of some repairs but actually I think we personally preferred it! We enjoyed both coach trips and particularly enjoyed our separate trip to Rotorua on the second day but ... the weather was rather dicey – not sure why the cyclones had to arrive when we were there. thank you again and kind regards Sarah Woods

I had a great time on my tour last week. It was the perfect balance of activities and free time. I got to see quite a bit in my short three days, and being able to do so without switching hotels every night made it much more pleasant. The hotel was great, and having breakfast included was a huge benefit, as each days activities began bright and early. Lauren, my consultant was especially helpful in both helping me figure out the best tour for me, and also in keeping me informed and updated.
