Paying for your New Zealand tour is straightforward. Once you've received your personalised quote and are ready to book, your tour consultant will provide the available payment options, payment deadlines and booking conditions. Most tours require an initial deposit, with the remaining balance due before your departure date.
Payment requirements can vary depending on the tour operator, travel dates and the services included in your itinerary, so always refer to your booking confirmation for the exact details.
What payment methods are accepted?
Most New Zealand tour operators accept a range of payment methods, including:
- Credit cards
- Debit cards
- Bank transfers
- Other approved payment options shown on your invoice
If you're paying from overseas, your payment will usually be processed in New Zealand dollars (NZD). Your bank or card provider will then convert the amount into your local currency using their current exchange rate and any applicable foreign transaction fees.
Before making payment, it's worth checking whether your chosen payment method attracts any processing fees or international banking charges.
When do you need to pay?
Most bookings require a deposit to secure your tour. Once your booking has been confirmed, your quote will also include the date your final balance is due.
If you're booking close to your departure date, full payment may be required immediately rather than a deposit.
To avoid delays, always include your booking reference when making a bank transfer and keep a copy of your payment confirmation until your booking has been finalised.
Paying for a group booking
If you're travelling with friends or family, it's often possible for multiple travellers to contribute towards the same booking. Depending on the payment method, payments may be made separately using different cards or bank accounts.
If you'd like to split payments across multiple travellers, let your tour consultant know before making payment so they can ensure each payment is allocated correctly to your booking.
